Steve Harvey is covering the tuition for eight freshmen at his alma mater, Kent State University. In partnership with The Steve & Marjorie Harvey Foundation, the institution is able to provide scholarships of $23,000 per student, according to the university’s press release. Students must maintain a 2.5 GPA in order for their scholarships to renew each semester. The award is in memory of Devin Moore, a Kent State student who died while playing basketball at the university’s student recreation and wellness center.

Suge Knight has questioned the validity of Snoop Dogg‘s ownership of Death Row Records, accusing his former signee of acquiring control of the label in an “illegal” manner. On Monday (April 24), TMZ released audio of a phone call with the incarcerated mogul discussing Snoop’s current role as owner and CEO of Death Row. In the clip, which was uploaded to YouTube, Knight claims Snoop’s stake in the label only occurred due to an alleged crime committed by the rapper and Michael “Harry-O” Harris, a convicted drug kingpin andan initial financier of Death Row Records.

Clifford “T.I.” Harris and Tameka “Tiny” Harris have filed a lawsuit against MGA Entertainment, claiming the company copied the likeness of their group OMG Girlz for the line of “L.O.L. Surprise! O.M.G” dolls. Rolling Stone‘s Nancy Dillon reported the couple is seeking “economic justice” in their lawsuit against the company. According to the report, the lawyer representing MGA asserts the husband and wife have no claim to MGA profits, calling the lawsuit a “shakedown” based on “fabricated claims.
