Rudy Giuliani delved deeper into an intricate mix of ignorance and sheer delusion during an appearance on Fox News Monday (Aug. 29).

The former New York City mayor checked into Fox & Friends to talk politics, and apparently Beyonce’s performance at the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards.

Giuliana, who has shown a fierce commitment to the “Boycott Beyonce” tour, put on yet anther show for the cameras. In short, he didn’t like (or comprehend) the imagery in Bey’s stage production, so he accused her of spreading an anti-cop message.

After calling Queen Bey shameful, Giuliani launched into a rant explaining why he was so offended. “I had five uncles who were police officers, two cousins who were, and one who died in the line of duty,” he said. “I ran the largest and best police department in the world, the New York City Police Department.”

From there, the 72-year-old former politician threw in a soundbite about saving black lives.

“I saved more black lives than any of those people you saw on stage by reducing crime,” continued Giuliani. “Particularly homicide, by 75 percent — of which maybe 4,000 or 5,000 were African-American young people, who are all alive today because of the policies I put in effect that weren’t in effect for 35 years.”
