Kenyon Dixon is the latest R&B talent to bring his talents to Springhill’s On Site series. Developed as an extension of the company’s music pillar, the platform gives emerging and rising artists the opportunity to deliver a raw, intimate performance of their best work.
Perfect for listeners seeking new music or hoping to support the next generation, On Site has featured a range of artists so far this season including Zyah Belle, Big Homiie G, ChloTheGod, and Reason.
“For the selection of the talent this year or for this particular season, we really wanted to focus on the diversity and really making sure we stuck to independent artists,” explained Springhill GM Krystyn Price on set. “I think that’s very important. They don’t get the shine that they deserve. For us it’s all about that consistent through line of making sure you have representation across [African American] men and women, and the Latinx community.”

Taking the stage, the Los Angeles native conjured up one of his recent releases for a vibrant vocal performance. Singing “Slow Dancing” was an intentional song choice. For this performance slot, he prepared to be in front of multiple cameras and a production crew, as opposed to the flashing lights and energetic roar of a live audience.
“It’s actually a huge difference, I think, because when you can perform in front of thousands of people, you don’t necessarily have to focus on any one person, but everything counts in moments like these,” shared the “Love On Replay” singer after filming concluded.

“It’s mainly an energy thing. You don’t have the crowd to feed off of. You don’t got a million people in front, singing your music. So that’s always a different type of vibe, but I love it. It’s a contrast.”
The set design features an empty stage with fluorescent lights, shifting focus to the performer for a personal show. Looking through a pair of black sunglasses, Dixon firmly gripped the microphone, swaying to the blaring instrumental and delivering an engaging rendition of the uptempo song as the cameras panned the scene.
The Springhill Company was founded by LeBron James and Maverick Carter. The brand is committed to highlighting diverse voices and stories at the intersection of creativity and culture through content, products, and experiences.
